Wolfie and Owen address P2G Fans
Mon Jan 22, 2024 5:17 pm
The fans are waiting in silent anticipation as the last road to Wembley show is about to start.
Slowly Path to Glory chants start up. The Manchester crowd warms up as Sophie Morgan wheels herself out into her position before she starts her announcing.
Sophie Morgan: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages welcome yet another great evening of Path to Glory memories, as we look forward to some great action at Crowning Glory, from Wembley as per usual.
Loudest cheer so far of the night.
Sophie Morgan: It is my immense pleasure to introduce the brains behind it all and bring out to the stage, Wolfie, who is joined by none other than Owen McManus!!!!
Loud cheers can be heard but also some booing which Wolfie has grown used to over the seven years he has been performing in the United Kingdom, whether under the Path to Glory banner or Academy of Dreams.
When these two appear together in Owner and General Manager capacity, it usually means big news for Path to Glory.
Two chairs were quickly set up on the stage and the men each take a seat armed with a mic.
James Brown: Whatever reason these two are out here for, I hope it is good as we are live across the United Kingdom, and I am sure many other places we should not be but that is the wonderful internet.
David Brown: I am ready let’s hear whatever it is.
Owen McManus: Thank you everyone for your kindness and patience as we quickly organized this special Road to Wembley show and didn't offer you any action, just reactions.
I am here to officially review the upcoming Crowning Glory pay-per-view, which my understanding is, that it indeed will be the eighth one in seven years.
We are super happy to announce as always it will indeed be held at Wembley. London.
For the first time, ever there will be no preshow or at least no preshow wrestling. ALL the matches are pay-per-view worthy so they will all appear there.
Fans look kind of shocked at that announcement.
David Brown: So, we start later and go longer is that it?
James Brown: Listen and be patient brother for once.
Owen McManus: The quality over quantity is the foundation on Path to Glory has built its pay-per-view on and we will continue to do so.
The opening match for instance will be a Ladder Match for a briefcase hanging high above the ring, and whoever unhooks it and gets to the ring holding it, will be declared the winner and will have a future title shot at whichever champion they desire at the next pay per view.
As you all witnessed last time out, several people qualified to enter that match.
Entering the Ladder match, we have of course Wolfie, who is sitting right here.
SOPHIE DESIRE from The Firm
RED ARROW
JOHN RYDER
SKYE
PLUS, TWO MYSTERY PEOPLE!!!
Mixed responses from the crowd some cheering, jeering, and gasping.
James Brown: Now that is better than a pre-show, starting with seven people trying to outdo the rest and survive the match.
David Brown: Let's talk mystery people.
Male? Female? Any scoops?
James Brown: All I know is they wear black, can do a Flying Elbow Drop, which Sam Haze discovered last time out, and they seem to either know him or dislike him.
David Brown: Cannot be Chris Ravenna, he left, but he hated Sam.
James Brown: Maybe someone else does too.
But we won't know till Crowning Glory arrives and their music if any hits and they come out ready for action, but again they may wrestle masked.
Owen McManus: Onto the next match of the night which will be between two old rivals BDD and Widowmaker.
They have battled in singles, tags, and gimmick matches, and they are doing it one more time.
Why??
They have zero to prove to anyone, they have done it all already, won the so-called big title.
Wolfie: They are crazy and because they can.
They get booked as they draw money and Wembley will be packed to the rafters to see them go at it again.
Yet, we don't have an official gimmick for the match but that will be revealed at Crowning Glory.
Owen McManus: Moving on, we must discuss the tag team titles. The Firm needs challengers, so I have exhausted my contacts and finally, we have a team stepping into the breach. Facing The Firm for the titles at Crowning Glory will be none other than The Imperial Lions!!!!
WOLFIE: Path TO Glory going old school again, I remember when we first started back in 2017, we often gave shots to newcomers, some weren't even signed to the company, and we weren't afraid to have the titles dropped like a lot of other companies.
Some sadly are not with us anymore, and some thankfully.
Laughter can be heard throughout the crowd.
Wolfie: But that sure is an interesting match and I can't wait to see The Imperial Lions in action.
Owen McManus: That brings us to the last two matches on the card, but in which order?
Does it matter? Seems to some but when a Double Main event does it REALLY matter?
Wolfie: No, a match is a match and must happen sometime whether opening or closing.
The Pittsburgh Mauler will defend his Dream Title against The Firm leader Dan Hammer.
Sam Haze will defend his Glory Title against none other than a reasonably new kid on the block Jack Dangermond.
James Brown: Double main event!!!
Path to Glory making every effort to impress for this Crowning Glory.
David Brown: Well, they extended my contract, so they are smart businesspeople you know.
James rolls his eyes.
Sophie Morgan: Sounds like a great card in store for Crowning Glory, and with two masked men at least, surprises could be in store. I for one cannot wait and as always, it should be a fun packed night of wrestling action to suit all tastes.
Will pass you on to the Brown brothers after this commercial break.
