Backstory

---

     Born into a wealthy family, Heras was known for his sharp intellect, curiosity and outgoing nature. Given that both his father and grandfather have served in the military and built their careers in the army, he had promised to the former that he will serve 2 years in the military once he hits 18 years old. After two years, his father would give him his portion of fortune, allowing his son to ''enter maturity'' fully-equipped.

     Deployed to Iraq, Heras met Sareh, a local field medic assigned to his platoon. Being a lady of rare beauty and innocence, Sareh instantly caught his eye and the two became sweethearts, planning on moving together to the US, far away from warzones and chaos. However, it was not meant to be, as during one night the camp got ambushed by the enemy, heavily wounding both. Sareh passed away instantly, while Heras, heavily wounded, was saved and rescued by his battle buddy Bobby.

     After two months of recovery, Heras escaped from the hospital, taking his equipment with him, and went on a six months of hiding in the mountains. He started to be known as the Rooh (from Persian " روح ", meaning ''The Ghost") by his enemies, due to his night attacks on enemy camps. He would enter the camp at night and silently kill 2-3 enemies, then quickly leave to remain undetected. He was found again by Bobby, who tasked his squad to find him, then discharged and sent to San Diego to be cared about by Bobby's family. Soon thereafter, Bobby too returned to San Diego, becoming a police officer and taking care of Heras by finding various jobs for him, including participating in street fights.

     After these events, Heras was only a shadow of his former self, rarely talking and constantly zoning out, living an ascetic life and showing no interest in anything, including his own survival. He refused to contact his family, his old friends, and Bobby was the only person from his past that Heras did not cut. The only time his emotions could be seen was during his infrequent, but very intense episodes of rage, which made him break any rules and boundaries, causing him troubles with the police, troubles which Bobby has been forced to deal with to protect his old friend.

     Bobby introduced him to wrestling with the hope that Heras will finally start improving and be able to live a normal life again. But time will show...

Personality

     Despite being constantly zoned out and reticent, Heras is very principled and down-to-earth, always serious and never childish. He respects people who share the same principles as him, commending bravery, manliness and honour, not indulging into any cowardice. However, during his rare rage episodes, he becomes unpredictable and uncontrollable, leading him to do things he would otherwise refrain from doing.
     Heras is a Face, even though he does not try to be liked by fans. Nevertheless, people relate to his down-to-earth attitude and personality, making him a fans' favourite.

General Style

    Given his vast combat experience both in the army and street fights, he has a technical style based on effective combat moves such as submissions and wrestling. He has excellent striking but is awkward with fancy, acrobatic moves. He is very violent in terms of not being afraid of blood, injuries and fractures, but he is respectful of rules and his opponents unless he is in a rage episode, when he is liable to use forbidden moves and to seek unnecessary destruction. Otherwise, his behaviour in the wrestling match is closer to an MMA/combat match, seeing his opponents as fellow fighters that are here for the sport.

Description - Heras does a sidestep, then quickly lifts his bended knee high, straightening the leg up before quickly kicking his opponent's face.

Finishers

Name - Some die young

Original move - Rear naked choke/Sleeper Hold/Chokehold/Blood Choke

Description - Heras, positioned behind his opponent, wraps his arm around the opponent's neck, pressing the biceps against one side of the neck and the inner bone of the forearm against the other side, then squeezes the neck with full force before leaning towards his opponent's ear, whispering ''some die young''.

Origins of the finisher - During his night attacks on enemy camps, he would immobilize the enemy by applying a chokehold, which he would maintain until the enemy lost his consciousness, after which he would kill them with his combat knife. Since Sareh was 21 years old when she died, he would sometimes whisper ''don't worry, some die young'' into his enemy's ear, especially if they were young, as if he calmed them down before their death.

The arena lights turn off, and a deadly silence embraces it. After a few seconds of full darkness, a tiny lighter flame can be seen, leaving behind a small red dot. As Paranoid by Black Sabbath starts playing, the lights turn on, letting the fans to see Heras standing on the entrance ramp, smoking on a cigarette as he always does.

As he is walking to the ring cheered by the fans, his face slowly changes from an emotionless to an angry and turbulent expression. Throwing the cigarette butt on the floor, he steps into the ring and rips the shirt off, uncovering the scars on the left side of his body. He then proceeds to bandage his arms, waiting for his opponent.
