Yuletide/Red Arrow - Let us begin your training - Part 3 of 3
Thu Oct 03, 2024 10:36 pm
~Pre-recorded Video~
SSE ARENA BELFAST – BACKSTAGE AREA – NIGHT
Yuletide pauses mid-step. The radio still raised to his face as he was just announced his path to the VIP Entrance. The noise of the bustling arena fades into the background.
Red Arrow: “Let us begin your training.”
Yuletide turns and finds Red Arrow. An entity who had long since grown into his strength. His aura that of a methodical teacher whose methods were harsh, whose instincts were primed for battle. Yuletide takes an audible deep breath, his mind racing through the implications of Red Arrow’s words. He knows this isn’t just a challenge; it’s a test of his resolve and strength.
YULETIDE (steady and determined) i knew interfering in your match would cost me. Eye for an eye as Odin would say. So, how is this (makes gestured dog ears) training... going to go? Is this where you beat me down? Deprive me of my holiday spirit? Take away my candy!? (The last idea seemed to disgust Yuletide the most)

Red Arrow’s gaze was focused, resolute, intense. His eyes were set in such a way that spoke of pure confidence. A confidence built over years into unshakability. The aura flowing off of Red Arrow was one of restrained and controlled violence. A violence that accompanied reason, had actual thought behind it.
Red Arrow: “Every action has a price. Action and reaction as it were. You interfered in our match, an action you took of your own accord. I can understand being driven by your emotions. Most of humanity is driven by those emotions, they wear their heart on their sleeves.”
Red Arrow shook his head, a dismissive gesture that spoke of his disdain for such emotional reactions.
Red Arrow: “An eye for an eye indeed. I have no use for candy. Not in the slightest. A beatdown would be too simple, and wouldn't really teach you anything. Instead I’ll warn you to consider your surroundings, to be mindful of where you are.”
Red Arrow turned on his heel as if he were going to leave. Raising an arm high overhead, Red Arrow made a slamming motion with his arm, feeling it collide with the breadth of Yuletide’s back.
Red Arrow: “Look beyond the surface, adapting at a seconds notice is how a true warrior comports himself. You let your guard down…. And this makes you vulnerable.”
Red Arrow’s words lingered in the air, a crisply spoken statement that formed an assessment of Yuletide.

Yuletide stumbles forward from the impact, catching himself against the wall. He straightens up, his face a mix of pain and determination, but a twinkle of mischief still in his eyes. He turns to face where Red Arrow was standing, his eyes burning with resolve.
YULETIDE (gritting his teeth, but with a playful grin): You’re right, Red Arrow. I let my guard down. I probably do it more often than I should. But I won’t make that mistake again. Thank-you for reminding me though, as some lessons are built on blood.
Yuletide takes a deep breath, his mind racing. He knows he has to prove himself, not just to Red Arrow, but to himself.
YULETIDE (steadying himself, with a wink): I understand now. This isn’t just about strength or skill. It’s about awareness, about being ready for anything. I’m ready to learn, to adapt. Show me what it takes to be a true warrior. And don’t worry, my holiday spirit is still intact!
Yuletide squares his shoulders, ready for whatever comes next.
YULETIDE (with a chuckle): After all, I’m as tough as a winter and as jolly as a Christmas morning! You can bet your maple syrup on that!
He pauses, then adds with a grin:
YULETIDE: And if your only kidding yourself if you say you have no time for candycanes.
Yuletide pulls a red, green and white candy cane from his pocket and offers it to Red Arrow.

Red Arrow’s expression remained unchanged, a swift and calculating gaze flashed outwards. The only outward indicator of sensation was a slight upturn of his lips, a faint smirk could be seen. The mischief he saw in Yuletide's eyes almost induced a laugh, as if Yuletide were a child playing a game.
Red Arrow: “Many lessons are built on blood and suffering Yuletide. The strength comes from learning what is needed. Perseverance and grit will serve you well.”
Red Arrow took a pause, his eyes narrowing ever so slightly, his smirk turning into an impassive scowl.
Red Arrow: “You have spirit, good. You’ll need it in the time to come.”
Shaking his head Red Arrow chuckles, a low and quiet sound, a sound filled with a wicked sense of charisma, an almost parental like notion.
Red Arrow cradled the candy cane in hand, chuckling softer as he unwrapped the lolly, placing it in his mouth.
Red Arrow: “Never let it be said that I do not consume the treats of the holiday season.”
Red Arrow began with an almost smile, a slight teasing edge to his words as he resolved to turn Yuletide into a proper warrior.
